What we collect
When you sign in, we receive an account identifier, email address, and available display name from our authentication provider. We store the events you save. If you join the newsletter, we collect your email address and signup source. If you submit an event, we collect the organizer name, contact email, event link, venue, timing, and notes you provide. We also count page views and product actions, and use a one-way daily rotating network hash to estimate daily visitors without storing the underlying address.
How we use information
We use this information to provide Saved Plans across devices, deliver the newsletter you requested, review submitted events, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the Site, respond to privacy requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use account or submission information for unrelated advertising.
Service providers
Pastfive relies on managed hosting and database infrastructure, OpenAI-provided authentication, and—when enabled—Buttondown for newsletter delivery. These providers process information to provide their services under their own terms and privacy commitments. Ticket purchases and RSVPs take place on independent venue or ticketing websites; their privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Sales, advertising, and cookies
Pastfive does not currently sell personal information, run targeted advertising, or use advertising or analytics cookies. Essential cookies or similar storage support secure sign-in, Saved Plans, security, and remembering that you have seen the cookie notice. Cookieless product measurement is used only to understand aggregate usage and improve Pastfive.
Retention and deletion
Saved-event records remain until you remove them or request account-data deletion. Newsletter information remains until you unsubscribe or request deletion; a limited suppression record may be retained to respect an opt-out. Event submissions are kept while they are reviewed and for a reasonable period afterward for editorial records, abuse prevention, and legal needs. We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.
Your choices
You can remove saved events from Saved Plans and unsubscribe through the link in every newsletter. You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with your email, or withdraw newsletter consent. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary to meet legal, security, or opt-out obligations.
Security
We use managed authentication and hosting safeguards and limit collection to information needed for Pastfive’s features. No online service can promise absolute security, so please contact us if you believe your account or information has been misused.
Children
Pastfive may list family-friendly events, but its accounts and newsletter are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information may contact us for deletion.
Changes and contact
