Edited, not endless
A shorter list with a point of view beats another calendar with everything on it.
An independent edit of New York after 5 pm.
Pastfive started with a familiar frustration: there is always something happening in New York, but finding the one plan that feels right can take longer than the evening itself.
We wanted a useful filter — fewer tabs, less generic advice, and a concise edit of events, dinners, talks, music, and nights that are genuinely worth leaving the house for.
So Pastfive does the searching, checking, and sequencing. You get the part that matters: a good plan.
MARIA PUNTUSPastfive began with Maria’s own story of arriving in New York as an adventurer.
Overwhelmed by the feeling that she should be everywhere at once, she sometimes missed the thing she actually wanted — or simply stayed home. Every search for something new, worth seeing, or worth exploring became hours of digging through event platforms and social media just to shape one good night.
After a year in NYC and 100+ events, she started Pastfive for anyone who knows the same feeling: from a fun date-night plan to solo time well spent. The edit began with her personal favorites — the plans that earned enthusiastic reviews from friends and fellow New Yorkers.
How do you find what’s truly worth doing — without hours of searching?
A shorter list with a point of view beats another calendar with everything on it.
Every plan needs the details that matter: when, where, price, mood, and the official place to book.
The famous rooms, the tiny nights, and the unexpectedly excellent things you would not find in one search.
